Visual Builder
The drag-and-drop interface for designing processes — stages, connections, conditions, and version history.
Overview
The Visual Builder is PlugIQ’s drag-and-drop interface for designing processes. It gives you complete control over every aspect of a workflow without writing any code.
Canvas Layout
The builder is divided into three panels:
- Left panel — stage palette and component library.
- Center canvas — the process flow diagram.
- Right panel — configuration options for the selected element.
Adding Stages
Drag a stage type from the left panel onto the canvas. Available stage types include:
- Submission — the entry point where requesters fill out the form.
- Approval — assigned approvers review and act.
- Automated — triggers an action (email, webhook, document generation) without human input.
- End — marks the workflow as complete.
Connecting Stages
Click the output handle of one stage and drag to the input handle of another to create a connection. You can add conditions to each connection. Multiple outgoing connections create branching logic.
Version History
Every time you publish a process, PlugIQ saves a version snapshot. You can review or restore any previous version from the Version History tab.
