Luna AI's built-in workspace data access and how to connect external sources like Google Sheets or PostgreSQL.

What is Luna AI?

Luna AI is PlugIQ’s conversational intelligence layer, available in Phase 2. It allows workspace Admins and Process Managers to ask natural-language questions about their process data and receive instant answers, summaries, and charts — without needing to run manual reports.

Built-in Data Sources

Luna AI automatically has access to all data within your PlugIQ workspace: all process records and their field values, stage history and approval decisions, SLA performance metrics, and user and group membership data. No setup is required for built-in data sources.

Connecting External Data Sources

  1. Go to Settings → Luna AI → Data Sources.
  2. Click Add Data Source and choose from the available connectors (Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel Online, PostgreSQL, MySQL, REST API).
  3. Authenticate and configure the connection.
  4. Map the external data to Luna’s schema by providing a brief description of what each table or sheet contains.

Data Access Controls

Luna AI respects the same role-based access controls as the rest of PlugIQ. A user can only query data they have permission to view directly.
